Magnet School Application


If you are interested in having your child enrolled in a Magnet school for the upcoming next school year, the application window opens on October 1st and closes mid November.  Choices brochures/applications will also be available in all LAUSD schools, Educational Service Centers, and Los Angeles City Libraries.  If you have questions regarding Choices and the Magnet program at Peary Middle School, please contact our Magnet Coordinator, Mr. Frelix, at (310) 225-4200.


Note: Currently enrolled Magnet 6th & 7th grade students remain in the Magnet program through 8th grade.  Currently enrolled Magnet 8th grade students must apply for a Magnet high school if they wish to continue in the Magnet program.

Robert E. Peary Math and Science Magnet program develops knowledge, skills, and expertise to help students succeed in college, work, and life. Our Magnet program promotes global awareness, civic duty, communication, critical thinking, innovation, information literacy, responsibility, and leadership.

Robert E. Peary Math and Science Magnet aims to be at the cutting edge of math, science, and technology. The future will see student e-portfolios, online class discussion boards, and prize-wining science and technological achievements. Robert E. Peary Math and Science Magnet looks to develop the 21st century student and beyond.
